Born
in Bombay, India in 1948, Nosh Tarachand
moved to Los Angeles in 1972 and then to
Colorado in 1981, becoming a U.S. citizen
in 1982. Having lived and worked in several
Western European countries, Nosh brings
an international business and political
acumen to NAIRA. He began his career in
aerospace/aviation and presently is an aviator-turned
automobile dealer.
His international experience gives him an
understanding of what it means to deal with
the challenges and opportunities of being
an immigrant. His mission at NAIRA is to
bridge the gap of understanding between
Asian Indians and local and national governmental
entities so as to create an environment
of equal opportunity in business and representation:
I believe that through the untiring efforts
of persistent NAIRA members we will create
and enhance the abilities of our children
to be happy, contributing members of American
society.
Nosh?s involvement in local government and
business organizations as a leader, mediator,
facilitator, and networker helps many Indian
entrepreneurs feel welcomed and connected
within their new communities.
As co-founder of NAIRA, with Hitesh Patel,
Ev Sequeira, Amar Singh, and Shekhar Bhushan,
Nosh intends to create new inroads to the
Republican Party and engage in dialogue
on behalf of the Asian Indian American community
on a local and national level.
